VENEZ PEINDRE EN FRANCE SUR LES PAS DES IMPRESSIONNISTES
PASTEL, AQUARELLE, ACRYLIQUE OU HUILE

L'Union des Français de l'Etranger et Jean-René GAUTIER, Conseiller du Président, vous proposent un séjour de 9 jours en gîte rural, proche d'Auvers sur Oise, le village de renom international où mourut Vincent VAN GOGH.

Du samedi 19 au dimanche 27 juin 2010, vous participerez dans un groupe de 7 personnes au maximum à une expérience unique de peinture sur les sites ou vécurent et peignirent les Impressionnistes français au siècle dernier : Monet, Pissaro, Sisley, Renoir, Cézanne ...

Voici le programme de ce séjour :

- 1er jour : Samedi 19 juin : accueil à l'aéroport de ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE ou ORLY et installation au gîte : Le Manoir du Ménillet, situé à 40 km au nord de Paris, et trente minutes de l'aéroport de Roissy CDG.
A 18 heures : pot d'accueil de l'ensemble des participants   
20 heures : Dîner et présentation des activités de la semaine

- 2ème jour : Dimanche 20 juin : Transfert en minibus à PARIS pour une visite des principaux monuments de la capitale française et du musée d'Orsay (visite notamment du département des Impressionnistes).
Exercice de dessin rapide en plein air pendant 1 heure.
Déjeuner dans un restaurant parisien et retour au Manoir vers 20 heures, après une halte à BOUGIVAL et CHATOU.
20 heures : apéritif et dîner

- 3ème jour : Lundi 21 juin : De 10 heures à 16 heures : peinture en groupe à AUVERS SUR OISE ( vieilles rues, église,  plaine d'Auvers ...) Visite à l'Auberge RAVOUX (chambre ou décéda Van Gogh, vidéo de présentation), tombe des deux frères Vincent et Théo Van Gogh au cimetière du village.

- 4ème jour : Mardi 22 juin : De 10 heures à 16 heures : journée peinture sur les bords de l'Oise

Conditions matérielles du séjour :

Logement : en chambre individuelle, très confortable et décorée, avec salle de bains ou chambre double avec salle de bains

Transport : minibus avec chauffeur capacité 8 personnes, durant tout le séjour , tous frais compris (location, essence, péages et parkings)

Restauration : petits-déjeuners, paniers-repas, déjeuners dans PARIS, apéritifs et dîners au Manoir compris dans le séjour du samedi soir 19 juin au dimanche matin 27 juin.

Entrées aux musées : compris dans le séjour (Musée d'Orsay, Auberge Ravoux, Jardin de Claude Monet, Musée de l'Impressionnisme)

Fournitures : Chaque participant apporte son matériel de peinture personnel.
Un réassort sera possible en cas de nécessité pour le mercredi matin 23 juin
Il sera mis à disposition des participants :
                                                  - un chevalet
                                                  - un siège
                                                  - un tablier
                                                  - du papier d'essuyage
                                                  - de l'eau
                                                  - les plans et horaires de trains et métro (gare SNCF à 1km, trajet de 40 minutes pour Paris Gare du Nord - 2 trains par heure) pour les personnes accompagnantes non-peintres, souhaitant un séjour totalement ou partiellement libre.

Capacité d'accueil et de transport : Compte tenu de la capacité d'accueil du Manoir de 5 chambres au total, et du type de minibus utilisé pour le transport , le nombre de personnes, peintres ou personnes accompagnantes,  est limité à 8 personnes.

Guide-accompagnateur : Jean-René GAUTIER, durant la totalité du séjour. Peintre amateur depuis 25 ans dans les techniques pastel, aquarelle , acrylique et huile.  Un encadrement des débutants sera assuré par ses soins.

Prix : calculé en PRIX COUTANT ! TOUT COMPRIS, sauf transport aérien, sur la base de :
- en chambre double : (2 personnes) : 1.100 euros par personne, tout compris, hors trajet aérien
- en chambre individuelle (1 personne) : 1.350 euros pour 1 personne, tout compris, hors trajet aérien

Transport aérien : non compris dans cette offre. Chaque participant  réserve ses vols aller et retour.

Annulations : Toute annulation d'un participant est possible avant la date du 30 avril 2010. Dans ce cas, l'acompte  versé sera intégralement remboursé (sous déduction des frais de virement bancaire). Au-delà du 30 avril 2010, une annulation entraînera une retenue de 200 euros, le solde effectivement payé étant  remboursé.
La session de peinture pourra être annulée par l'organisateur si elle ne recueille pas un minimum de 3 participants.

IMPORTANT A LIRE

Ce stage a pour finalité de faire découvrir les sites où vécurent et peignirent les plus illustres des Impressionnistes français. Il s'agit d'une expérience de peinture sur le motif en petit groupe, sous la direction non d'un peintre professionnel mais d'un peintre amateur, bilingue français-anglais,  pratiquant les diverses techniques artistiques depuis plus de deux décennies.

Il est accessible aux Français de l'étranger ainsi qu'à toutes les nationalités. Les langues de communication du groupe seront l'anglais et le français.

Le prix est calculé selon tous les éléments connus à ce jour, sur la base du prix de revient, sans marge bénéficiaire pour l'organisateur.

A la date du 9 mars 2010 (18 heures à Paris), la parité des monnaies est la suivante : 1 euro = 1,3620 US dollar. En conséquence, les équivalences de prix sont  respectivement, à titre seulement indicatif et pouvant donner lieu à ajustement de cours en plus ou en moins, à la date de début du stage :   

 séjour en chambre double : 2.200 euros (2 personnes) =  2.996 US $
séjour en chambre individuelle : 1.350 euros (1 personne) = 1.839 US $

Cette session de peinture en plein air est offerte à un prix exceptionnellement attractif et impossible à trouver mieux. Pour autant, l'organisateur garantit une qualité de séjour qui laissera aux participants un souvenir mémorable de leur session de peinture en France. Ainsi aura été atteint l'objectif que s'est assigné l'organisateur. 

 

COME AND PAINT IN FRANCE ON THE STEPS OF IMPRESSIONISTS

Union des Français de l'Etranger, a leading French private organization dedicating to promote cultural link between French expatriates throughout the world, and Jean-René GAUTIER, Chairman s personal advisor, join in setting up a painting session of 9 days in June 2010, near Paris, at AUVERS SUR OISE, the world famous village where VAN GOGH spent his last days painting and died in July 1890.

From Saturday 19 till Sunday 27 June, 2010, you will participate in a painting session of 7 people maximum, in the various places where the French Impressionists achieved their works : Monet, Pissaro, Sisley, Renoir, Cézanne, Daubigny, Berthe Morizot ...

1st day : Saturday 19 June : Welcome at Paris airport ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE or ORLY and drive to the Manor of Menillets, your place of lodging, located some 40 km from the airport.
18 hours  pm : welcoming party for the group
20 hours pm : Dinner together and presentation of the week activities.

2nd day : Sunday 20 June : Transfer in a minibus for a day in PARIS, visiting the main monuments and places of interest of the French capital city, including a visit to the Impressionist section at Musee d'Orsay.
Quick drawing training during one hour in the open
Lunch in a parisian restaurant and return to the Manor in the evening, passing through BOUGIVAL and CHATOU, among the most celebrated places of impressionist painting
Dinner at the Manor.

3rd day : Monday 21 June  :
10 hours a.m till 16 hours p.m. : Painting session in the streets of AUVERS SUR OISE (old picturesque village streets, the church made famous by Van Gogh, the village outskirts ..)
Visit to the RAVOUX inn ( the mortuary room of Van Gogh) with a video presentation of his life and paintings , and to the village cemetery where Vincent and his brother Theo are buried.
Lunch on site.
20 hours p.m. : Apéritif and dinner at the Manor.

4th day : Tuesday 22 June :
10 hours a.m. till 16 hours p.m. : painting session on the banks of the river OISE.

5th day : Wednesday 23 June :
10 hours a.m. till 16 hours p.m. : Painting session at CONFLANS SAINTE HONORINE , a medieval town on the OISE  and the berth of French barge carriers

6th day : Thursday 24 June : Day at GIVERNY : visit of the house, workshop,  gardens and the internationaly renowned pond of Claude MONET, visit of the Impressionist museum (former American Museum, exhibiting paintings of Impressionist american masters

9th day : Sunday 27 June :
After morning breakfast, separation aand return to  ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE airport, according to flight schedule.

General conditions of the stay :

Lodging : in single decorated room with full confort or double occupancy room, all rooms with private bath

Transportation : minibus with a total capacity of 8 passengers available during the full session, all expenses included (renting, gas, tolls and parking fees)

Food : morning breakfast, lunches on site and in PARIS, aperitifs and dinners at the Manor house from saturday noon 19 June till sunday 27 June as described above. Beverages included at dinner (1/2 bottle of wine per person). Coffee.

Museum entrance fees : all included (Musee Orsay, RAVOUX Inn, Claude Monet House and gardens at Giverny, Impressionist Museum)

Supplies : Each participant must bring his own painting equipment. Art supply will be possible on Wednesday morning 23 June from a selling outlet in Paris.A list of items will necessarily be submitted.  Participants will be provided with :
- an easel,
- a folding stool,
- an apron
- wiping tissue
- mineral or natural water,
- time railway schedule to and from Paris ( railway station is located 1 km from the Manor, with trains to and from Paris every half hour, 40 minutes travel to Paris North Station) for the accompagning people if necessary
- a tube and map of Paris and all other tourist documentation available

Welcoming and transport capacity : 5 rooms in the Manor and a minivan capacity of 8.

Assistance  : There is no tuition fee. Jean-René GAUTIER will provide full assistance to the group every day from breakfast till after dinner.
As a self taught and amateur painter for 25 years in mediums of pastel, watercolour, acrylic and oil, he will bring his painting experience to beginners.

Your skill level : beginners, intermediate and advanced participants are welcome.Non painting participants are also welcome.
- beginners : student has limited experience in the medium and subject matter and has basic skills
- intermediate : Student has knowledge of the basic elements, such as design, value, edges, color, form and texture, has prior experience working in the medium chosen, and draws well
- advanced : Student is confident working in the medium, with a high level of competence

Weather : Normally the weather conditions in mid June in the Paris area are satisfactory : generally sunny and  temperature around 20 ° celsius. In case of heavy rain or strong wind, which are most unlikely, a shelter place will be arranged.

Rates : reckoned at COST PRICE ! ALL INCLUDED, 8 nights, breakfast, meal packages and dinners, museum entrance fees, etc ...,as stated above, local transportation except air flight :

- double occupancy room (2 persons) : 1.100 euros per person, all included, except air fare
- single room (1 person) : 1.350 euros for 1 person, all included except air fare

Air flight : not included in the price. Each participant makes arrangements on his own, in order to get to Paris preferably in the morning of the first day or early in the afternoon.

When double occupancy enrollments are made separately, they are confirmed only when a deposit has been received from both participants.

- deposit of 20 % at the time of enrollment, in euros
- remaining balance of 80 % in euros to be received not later than 15 MAY, 2010

Cancellation policy :
Deposits are applied as a pre-payment of accomodation. All concellations must been made in writing. Prior to 30 APRIL, 2010 no cancellation fee will be retained. For cancellations with less than 45 days notice (at latest 30 APRIL 2010), a 200 euros cancellation fee per room is not refundable. We cannot be responsible for issuing refunds for stay missed due to serious illness, emergency or events beyond our control. If the stay is cancelled by us, all money will be promptly refunded. This stay is arranged to allow the discovery of places in the north west of Paris where the most illustrious French Impressionists lived and worked. This event is a plein air painting experience, attended by a limited group of painters. It is led by Jean-René GAUTIER, an "amateur" painter who has practiced different mediums since 1985. He will be your guide and assist the group all day long. The language of communication will be English or French.
This offer is made to French citizens living abroad and others nationalities. The closing time for enrollment is 31 MARCH 2010.
The rates have been reckoned on the basis of cost price, without any profit margin. Thus, the price has no comparison with similar offers you can find on the market.
As a sole indication, the currency rates on March 9, Paris time 18 hours p.m. are  1 euro = 1, 3620 US $, and the rates are as follows :

single occupancy room : 1.350 euros (1 participant) = 1.839 US $
double occupancy room : 2.200 euros (2 participants) = 2.996 US $
Due to currency fluctuations, these rates may vary in one way or other. The session rates are in euros.
